"Illinois' 4th Congressional District Democratic primary candidates discussed unemployment, gun violence and suburban representation during a forum Feb. 15 hosted by the Indivisible West Suburban Action League"

In an article published by the Chicago Sun-Times, Richard Gonzalez and other Democratic candidates looking to fill U.S. Rep. Luis Gutierrez seat in Congress met with the Chicago Sun-Times Editorial Board and discussed the border wall and the restoration of legal protections for immigrants. News footage from NBC 5 Chicago on 11/29/2017.

As news spreads about Luis Gutiérrez's decision to step aside, Richard Gonzalez is the only candidate who was already registered with the Illinois State Board of Elections. He is the only real candidate on the ballot.

Other candidates are now planning on joining the race — proving they did not have the intestinal fortitude to actually run against Gutiérrez like Richard did. These career politicians are merely opportunists. They are not looking out for the welfare of our constituency, but for their own agendas. They were afraid to challenge Gutiérrez.

Vote Richard Gonzalez on March 20, 2018!

Luis arroyo, Illinois State Representative

"Hi! I am State Representative Luis Arroyo and I am happy to endorse and support Richard Gonzalez for Congress in the 4th district to substitute Congressman Luis Gutierrez. We need someone who will fight for Puerto Rican #Statehood in Congress and Richard is the one to do that. Join me in supporting Richard Gonzales for Congress!"
